The Manthey performance kit for the 911 GT3 RS (type 991 II) was developed in close cooperation between the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach and Manthey-Racing GmbH. Using coordinated chassis, aerodynamic and brake components, they have succeeded in tuning the breathtaking performance of the 911 GT3 RS even more finely to the requirements of track days and tourist events.

Put another way: 6:54.340 minutes for around 20.8 kilometers of the Nürburing-Nordschleife. In this impressive time, Porsche works driver Kévin Estre lapped the “Green Hell” in a GT3 RS with an identical performance kit in April 2021.

Aerodynamics package
The aerodynamics of the vehicle were modified according to the “Form follows function” principle and its design was further refined: A new larger spoiler is used at the front of the vehicle which, thanks to its optimized geometry in conjunction with the characteristic flaps and the additional air control elements on the underbody, increases downforce at the front axle by approximately 30%. The new flow-optimized rear diffuser with longer fins in combination with the larger rear wing made of visible carbon provides an approx. 45% increase in output at the rear axle. This features an offset vane and enlarged side panels with painted Manthey logo. The aerodynamics package is completed by the carbon aerodiscs on the rear wheels, which reduce turbulence in the rear end and whose decorative filming can be selected to match the exterior or rim color of the vehicle. As a result, the aerodynamics package significantly increases vehicle controllability and thus contributes significantly to the performance of the 911 GT3.

Coilover suspension
The development of the coilover suspension was informed by the know-how and technology of both Porsche and Manthey gained from their many years of experience in GT sport. On the front axle, a McPherson strut is used in the upside-down design. The spring strut has a casing tube made from high-strength aluminum, for reliable and durable wheel guidance, including when used on the race track. It features three-way shock absorbers, while the aluminum support bearings further permit simple adjustment of the camber values at the front axle. The separately adjustable rebound stages are set at low and high speed at the external reservoir using the adjustment wheels. No tools are required for this. The compression stage can likewise be set via an adjustment wheel at the lower end of the shock absorber housing. If the vehicle has a front-axle lift system as standard, the function is retained in full. On the rear axle, an aluminum spring strut is used. The four-way adjustable shock absorbers (compression and rebound stages, at both low and high speed) can be adjusted directly on the shock absorber housing via the adjustment wheels, without need for tools. The basic setup of the high-end chassis components was determined in countless laps on international race tracks, particularly however on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and meticulously tuned by the engineers from Porsche and Manthey.

Brake line set with steel sheathing
The brake line set with steel sheathing provides for even more direct pedal feedback and thus a faster response time. These components of the performance kit were also tested and further developed by Manthey on the Nordschleife.
The racing brake pad is optionally available for vehicles with ceramic braking system (PCCB) (part numbers: 991 044 806 36, 991 044 806 37). This improves the fading characteristics as well as responsiveness and control. The brake pad impresses with a constant friction performance over a broad temperature range and excellent wear behavior with low disc corrosion.

Wheel set
If not already installed on the vehicle, the GT3 RS Manthey Performance Kit is only available in conjunction with the 20/21-inch GT3 RS wheel set or the 20/21-inch GT2 RS magnesium wheel set, the latter having a weight advantage of 11.4 kg (without tires, valves or Tire Pressure Monitoring sensor).

The 20/21-inch GT3 RS wheel set is available in the following paint finishes:
– Black (satin-gloss)
– Aurum (satin-gloss)

The 20/21-inch GT2 RS magnesium wheel set is available in the following paint finishes:
– Brilliant Silver
– Black (satin-gloss)
– Aurum (satin-gloss)
– White Gold Metallic (satin-gloss)
– Platinum (satin-gloss)

The wheel sets are suitable for the corresponding tire sizes:
Front axle: 9.5 J x 20 RO 50 with 265/35 ZR 20 (99Y) XL tires
Rear axle: 12.5 J x 21 RO 48 with 325/30 ZR 21 (108Y) XL tires
Porsche recommends using Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
