Our partners at AO Racing take the pink Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr to the streets of Long Beach with momentum from Sebring success.
At Champion Porsche, we don’t just sell racing heritage—we live it alongside our partners. Today, we’re thrilled to share news from our extended motorsport family: AO Racing is returning to the GTD class at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and Roxy—the prehistoric pink Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr—is carrying the Champion Porsche spirit to California .
A Championship Partnership in Motion
When we joined forces with AO Racing in January as the newest sponsor of Rexy, we knew we were aligning with something special. What we didn’t fully anticipate was how quickly that partnership would extend across the entire prehistoric family .
While our primary sponsorship is with Rexy—the championship-winning green T-Rex who captured the 2024 IMSA GTD Pro title—our support extends to the entire AO Racing operation. That includes Roxy, Rexy’s sister, who has proven herself more than capable of carrying the family legacy .
“It’s great to be bringing Roxy to Long Beach this year after Rexy’s win in 2025,” said AO Racing Team Principal Gunnar Jeannette. “Harry is no stranger to the team, but it will be Mikkel’s first time driving our dino-Porsche. We were impressed by Mikkel’s driving as teammates in the WEC RSR’s and are looking forward to his IMSA debut with us.”
From Sebring Podium to California Streets
Roxy arrives in Long Beach carrying serious momentum. At the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring—her first endurance race alongside AO’s LMP2 dragon “Spike”—the pink Porsche led 130 laps, battled for the win in the final hours, and secured a GTD PRO podium alongside co-drivers Nick Tandy, Harry King, and Alessio Picariello .
That performance proved what we’ve always believed at Champion Porsche: these cars are built to win, whether they’re wearing our branding at Daytona or representing the full AO Racing family at Sebring.
Now, Roxy trades Florida’s spring break atmosphere for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood before tackling Long Beach’s unforgiving concrete canyon. It’s a fitting progression—from the raw, bumpy asphalt of Sebring to the precision-demanding streets of Long Beach, where AO Racing captured victory just one year ago with Rexy, Laurens Vanthoor, and Jonny Edgar .
New Blood, Proven Pedigree
The move from GTD PRO to GTD brings a driver change that has us excited. Full-season AO ace Harry King will be joined by Danish racing driver Mikkel Pedersen—an FIA Silver-rated talent with roots in Porsche Supercup and experience in GT World Challenge Europe and the World Endurance Championship .
Pedersen’s resume reads like a Champion Porsche wish list: Porsche Supercup podium finisher at Monaco, WEC competitor in Porsche 911 RSRs, and now, making his IMSA WeatherTech debut with our partners at AO Racing. His early sports car roots in Porsche one-make competition mirror our own philosophy of developing talent through the Porsche pyramid .
This is exactly the kind of driver development we champion at our 22-acre Pompano Beach campus—where motorsport isn’t just history, it’s our daily business.

Why Long Beach Matters
The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach isn’t just another race on the calendar. It’s Round 3 of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, featuring both GTP and GTD classes on one of North America’s most iconic street circuits .
For Champion Porsche, this event represents our brand on one of motorsport’s biggest stages. When Roxy takes the green flag on Saturday, April 18 at 1:05 PM MT, she’ll be carrying Champion Porsche colors in spirit—backed by the same racing DNA that took us to overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2005 .
Live coverage on Peacock (USA) and IMSA’s YouTube channel (international) means our customers and enthusiasts worldwide can watch our partnership in action .
The Champion Connection
This partnership with AO Racing represents a full-circle moment for Team Principal Gunnar Jeannette, who grew up in South Florida watching Champion Motorsport dominate tracks with our iconic Porsche 993 GT2s and GT1 cars. He even crewed for our team as a teenager .
Now, decades later, we’re back in the paddock together—supporting a team that has redefined what it means to have personality in professional racing. Rexy and Roxy aren’t just liveries; they’re characters that have captured the imagination of families and young fans across the IMSA paddock .
While Rexy takes personal time to recover emotionally from his Daytona incident, Roxy steps up to represent the family—and by extension, Champion Porsche’s commitment to our partners .
From Our Showroom to the Starting Grid
At Champion Porsche, our motorsport heritage isn’t confined to museum displays or trophy cases (though we proudly showcase our Le Mans-winning driver helmet collection). It lives in every Porsche we sell, every Champion Motorsport component we develop, and every racing partnership we forge .
Our customers don’t just buy Porsches—they inherit a lineage that includes:
- Le Mans-winning engineering
- Five consecutive IMSA championships
- Track-proven aftermarket components developed from racing expertise
- A team that understands Porsche motorsport from the inside out
When you visit our Pompano Beach showroom, you’re not just shopping for a vehicle. You’re connecting to the same DNA that powers Roxy down the Long Beach front straight .
