Three pedals. Six speeds. A walnut shift knob under your right hand.
Porsche has confirmed what enthusiasts have been asking for since the 992.2 Carrera S arrived as a PDK-only proposition: the six-speed manual transmission is back. The 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S with MT Package makes its debut at Monterey Car Week, and it was built exclusively for North America — a direct response to the customers who kept asking, loudly and repeatedly, for a third pedal.
At Champion Porsche, America’s #1 Volume Porsche dealership, orders are open now.
“Managing a clutch and shift lever isn’t for everyone, but for the drivers who want it there really is no substitute.” — Timo Resch, President and CEO, Porsche Cars North America
What Exactly Is the MT Package?
This isn’t a delete-option or a stripped-down trim. The MT Package pairs the Carrera S with the same six-speed manual found in the 911 Carrera T, then layers on an elevated standard equipment list built around one idea: analog driving, without added weight.
Available in coupe and Cabriolet, exclusively rear-wheel drive.

Standard on every 911 Carrera S with MT Package:
- Six-speed manual transmission with a walnut shift handle
- Rear-axle steering — sharper turn-in, tighter low-speed agility
- PASM Sport suspension, ride height lowered 10 mm
- Sport Chrono Package
- Unique exhaust tuning with titanium outlets and black trim
- Center lock wheels — a first for any 911 Carrera S, saving more than 17 lbs. over standard Carrera S wheels
- Four-way Sport Seats Plus
- SportDesign front fascia
- Red “S” rear model designation — a detail lifted straight from what North American owners were already doing themselves

That last one deserves a moment. Porsche noticed enthusiasts modifying their cars with a red “S,” liked it, and made it factory. That’s the spirit of this entire car.
The Numbers That Matter
Under the rear decklid sits the 473-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six — more power than the Carrera T, in a package that weighs almost the same.
| Spec | 911 Carrera S with MT Package (Coupe) |
|---|---|
| Engine | 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six |
| Output | 473 hp |
| Transmission | Six-speed manual |
| Drivetrain | Rear-wheel drive |
| Curb weight | 3,327 lbs. |
| Front brakes | 408 mm, six-piston fixed calipers |
| Rear brakes | 380 mm, four-piston fixed calipers |
3,327 lbs. — just 11 lbs. more than a 911 Carrera T coupe. That is the headline. You get the Carrera S engine, the Carrera S brakes, and the option list of the broader 911 range, at essentially Carrera T weight.

Want to go lighter still? Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and carbon fiber Folding Lightweight Bucket seats are both available — and PCCB availability is one of the key ways this car separates itself from the Carrera T.
Seat options beyond the standard four-way: 14-way Sport Seats, 18-way Sport Seats Plus, and the carbon fiber buckets.
Personalization: The Full Porsche Palette
Unlike more narrowly defined special editions, the Carrera S with MT Package opens up the entire 911 personalization catalog:
- 17 exterior paint colors
- Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus, subject to availability
- More than 70 leather interior configurations
Champion Porsche’s volume position gives our clients meaningful access to Paint to Sample and PTS Plus builds. If you’ve been holding a color in your head for years, this is the car and this is the moment.

The Optional Exterior Package
- HD-Matrix Design headlights in black with a white color ring
- Wheels finished in Ceramica
- Red “S” rear designation with rear PORSCHE lettering in white
- Side mirror lower housings painted in body color
- Puddle lights that project the six-speed shift pattern onto the pavement

The Optional Interior Package
- Plaid Sport-Tex fabric seat centers with stripes in Chalk
- Seat belts and stitching matched to the seat stripes
- Interior trim in Ceramica with black brushed aluminum accents
- Sport Chrono clock face with a white accent ring

Seven Ways to Row Your Own 911
With this launch, Porsche now offers seven manual-transmission 911 variants in North America — a remarkable commitment at a time when much of the industry has walked away from the clutch pedal entirely.
- 911 Carrera T — coupe and Cabriolet, the entry point
- 911 Carrera S with MT Package — coupe and Cabriolet, new for 2027
- 911 GT3
- 911 GT3 with Touring Package
- 911 GT3 S/C
The Carrera S with MT Package lands in the sweet spot: more powerful and more customizable than the T, more usable every day than a GT3.

Why This Car Makes Sense in South Florida
A1A at sunrise. The run up to Jupiter. Weekend mornings before the heat sets in. This is a region built for a rear-wheel-drive, naturally aspirated-feeling, manual-shifted 911 — a car whose entire premise is that the drive itself is the destination.
The MT Package car is not about a quicker 0–60. It’s about the moment you heel-toe into a corner and get it exactly right.
