The Porsche 911 GT3 RS (Type 992), known on circuits as the "winged monster" and feared by its pursuers, is already setting new standards in the production version - with a radical aerodynamic concept and extensive lightweight construction. A breathtaking super sports car with starting clearance and road approval. Its goal: absolute perfection.
Thanks to precisely tuned aerodynamic, chassis and high-performance brake components, it has succeeded in going beyond the limits of what was previously possible. Decisive in the development and optimization on countless test and race track kilometers: every detail. For new ideal lines and personal best times. Highest demands and ambitions. And maximum sharpened performance - combined with increased controllability of the vehicle at the limit.
In the battle for every millisecond, the engineers at Porsche and Manthey are among the closest partners. Thanks to their uncompromising development work, the new aerodynamics package increases downforce compared to the production car without the Manthey kit while maintaining the same drag. The spectacular result: over 1000 kg downforce at 285 km/h. For higher cornering speeds and maximized vehicle stability.
The enlarged front lip with a new wing profile, suspended on carbon reinforcement elements, generates more downforce on the front axle in conjunction with the new wheel arch gurneys and flaps. The smooth underbody connected to the front lip also contributes to a considerable increase in downforce on the front axle by improving the overall flow on the underbody. The rear window is replaced by a lightweight carbon cover, which saves 25% in weight. Mounted on it: the new carbon shark fin to increase stability when cornering. Together with the 6 additional roof fins, it also diverts the warm exhaust air from the front radiator to the outside - for cooler process air at the rear and therefore even more engine power. In conjunction with the enlarged wing end plates, the split carbon DRS wing blade increases downforce on the rear axle and enables faster acceleration out of corners. Also highly visible: the significantly wider rear diffuser. With its longer carbon fins, it transforms the optimized airflow into even more downforce without increasing drag. In addition, the carbon aerodiscs on the rear axle ensure a significant reduction in drag - and complete the close interaction of all aerodynamic components to optimize the airflow and maximize overall efficiency.
Eau Rouge, Parabolica, Fuchsröhre: track sections as legendary as the 911 GT3 RS itself. Nothing has shaped Manthey as much as the relentless search for the optimum on the racetracks of this world. The semi-active coilover suspension has also been subjected to countless endurance tests and perfected further and further. It makes suspension control more precise on every track profile and in every driving situation.
For more direct handling and improved balance of the 911 GT3 RS, the spring rates have been optimized (30 % on the front axle, 15 % on the rear axle) and adapted to the higher downforce values. In conjunction with a newly developed control unit, 4 wheel and 3 body acceleration sensors ensure even more precise damper tuning - automatically and in real time. In contrast to the single-valve dampers of the standard suspension, the new dampers work with two separate valves each for compression and rebound damping and are controlled independently of each other. This ensures even more precise adaptation to changing driving situations and road conditions in order to maximize driving stability both on the road and on the racetrack. Depending on the driving mode (Normal, Sport, Track), different parameter sets are available for different basic damper settings. In Track mode, the basic setup can also be manually adjusted to personal preferences using the steering wheel.
Reducing the distance between the braking point and the apex of the corner by crucial meters is one of the greatest challenges in motorsport. The high-performance brake components of the Manthey kit take on this task - and optimize response and stability. The Brake line set with steel sleeve ensures even more direct pedal feedback and the associated faster response time.
Optional racing brake pads are available for vehicles with a ceramic brake system (PCCB). These have been specially developed for trackday use and improve the fading properties as well as the response behavior and modulation. The brake pads are characterized by constant friction behavior over a wide temperature range and very good wear behavior with low disc attack.
When it comes to visual refinement, Manthey and Porsche let nothing slow them down. Illuminated carbon door sill panels with Manthey logo in red and white, LED door projectors with white Manthey logo and foiling on the carbon aerodiscs in various colors emphasize the sharpened character of the 911 GT3 RS. In addition, the Manthey logo can be applied to the vehicle doors in either neodymium, white or black.
Designed for circuit use, there is an optional Tow strap that can be used for both the front and rear sections. It is available in red, black or yellow and can be fitted in the thread provided. It must be removed again before being used on public roads.
“With the Manthey Kit, the 911 GT3 RS has improved significantly on the racetrack, especially on medium-speed corners,” says Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister. “The car dives, pitches and rolls even less, offering a much more stable aerodynamic platform. The high contact pressure therefore remains very constant under all driving conditions.”
“Over a period of two years, we worked together with Porsche engineers on the new Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS and tested it over several thousand kilometres on European racetracks and on the Nürburgring Nordschleife,” says Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH. “Our data promises a significant improvement in lap times compared to the standard 911 GT3 RS. So far, weather conditions have prevented us from achieving an official lap time on the Nordschleife. We want to make up for this at the next possible opportunity.”
Note: Road approval and warranty remain unchanged. The individual components of the 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit are precisely matched to each other. For this reason, they may only be installed together on the vehicle. Available individual items are shown separately. For further information, please contact us.
