Hardly any other production car is used as frequently by its customers at trackdays as the Porsche 911 GT3. With the new Manthey kit, the performance of the high-performance sports car can now be enhanced even further on the racetrack. In over a year of development, an impressive kit has been created that makes the 911 GT3 (Type 992.II) even more powerful as an unwavering border crosser between the race track and the road. Precise suspension and high-performance brake components with coordinated aerodynamics have made it possible to go beyond the limits of what was previously possible.
The result: on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the traditional test laboratory for Porsche sports cars, the 911 GT3 with Manthey kit showed its full strength. With reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven at the wheel, it lapped the 20.8-kilometer circuit in 6:52.981 minutes - almost 3 seconds faster than the previous generation (992.1) of the 911 GT3 with Manthey kit.
The result of the optimized aerodynamics: higher cornering speeds thanks to maximized vehicle stability. In the circuit setting, the aerodynamics package generates a total downforce of 540 kg - at 285 km/h. The Manthey-specific carbon rear wing with integrated Gurney and enlarged, inwardly slanted end plates ensures targeted airflow. The larger rear diffuser with longer carbon fins used in the GT3 RS Manthey kit transforms the concentrated airflow into additional downforce without increasing drag. Carbon aerodiscs are installed on the rear axle to optimize aerodynamic efficiency.
Another aerodynamic feature is the front lip, which has been extended forward by 12 mm in a new look and provides the necessary performance at the front axle. Together with the front diffuser fins and the two flics, this results in a balanced aerodynamic vehicle balance.
"Form follows function" is also the focus for Manthey and Porsche where only real motorsport enthusiasts look. This is why the entire underbody has become an aerodynamic element - and thus the most efficient underbody with the Manthey label ever. The basis: the many years of experience of our aerodynamics experts in the development of high-performance Porsche models, such as the 911 GT3 RS (Type 922.1) with Manthey Kit.
The damper tuning of the coilover suspension - available for vehicles with and without a front axle lift system - has been specifically developed further. The setup, which has undergone extensive testing on the racetrack and the driving dynamics test bench, impresses with its excellent performance, precise drivability and high level of comfort. The four-way damping force-adjustable suspension struts, which are made entirely of aluminum, enable high-precision adjustment to different track conditions and individual driving preferences. The damping forces are easily accessible and can be adjusted without tools in both the compression and rebound stages at low and high speed. Compared to the standard vehicle, the spring rates have been moderately adjusted (+20% on the front axle, -7% on the rear axle) to further refine the driving behavior with a focus on the racetrack.
In motorsport, every meter between the braking point and the apex counts - and this is precisely where the Manthey kit comes in with its high-performance components for the brakes. The Brake line set with steel sleeve provides noticeably more direct pedal feedback and thus enables a faster reaction time. A decisive advantage on the racetrack.
The racing brake pads specially developed for trackday use improve the fading properties, response behavior and modulation. They are characterized by consistently stable friction behavior over a wide temperature range and offer excellent wear behavior with low disc attack.
Manthey and Porsche focus uncompromisingly on quality and expressiveness when it comes to visual refinement. Illuminated carbon door sill panels with Manthey logo in red and white, LED door projectors with white Manthey logo and carbon aerodisc foiling in many of the exterior colors available for the 911 GT3 underline the striking character of the vehicle. As an option, the Manthey logo can also be applied to the vehicle doors in black or white.
The Manthey kit is compatible with both the 20/21-inch 911 GT3 aluminum lightweight forged wheels available ex works (standard wheel set) and the optional 20/21-inch 911 GT3 magnesium lightweight forged wheels (standard wheel set). It can also be fitted with the optional 20/21-inch 911 GT3 lightweight wheel set with central locking developed by Manthey. Forged from aluminum, the lightweight wheel set impresses with its high rigidity and low weight and is designed for the aerodynamic loads of the Manthey kit. With a weight saving of 6 kg (compared to the standard aluminum wheel set), it ensures agile chassis response and precise vehicle control.
The 20/21-inch 911 GT3 lightweight wheel set is available in the following paint finishes:
- Brilliant silver
- Black (satin)
- Neodymium
Note: Road approval and warranty remain unchanged. The individual components of the 911 GT3 Manthey Kit (Type 992.2) are precisely matched to each other. For this reason, they may only be installed together on the vehicle. Available individual items are shown separately. For further information, please contact us, manthey@champion-porsche.com.
