Why Porsche’s Operating Profit Jumped<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Much of the swing comes from restructuring costs. The 2025 figures carried about \u20ac2.7 billion in strategic realignment costs, while the same costs in 2026 were about \u20ac500 million. That difference, combined with stronger pricing and mix, lifted the operating return on sales from 0.2% to 6.9%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North America Is Porsche’s Largest Market<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
North America was Porsche’s largest region over the nine months, with 56,088 vehicles delivered, roughly 31% of the global total. The all-electric share of deliveries was 21.7%, down from 23.1%, because the prior year was boosted by the ramp-up of the all-electric Macan. In China, Porsche says it is prioritizing long-term brand development over short-term volume targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cash Flow, the Bugatti Rimac Sale and MHP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Automotive net cashflow reached \u20ac2.50 billion, helped by the sale of Porsche’s stakes in Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group. That sale closed in September and produced a gain of \u20ac593 million and a Group cash inflow of \u20ac984 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Third-quarter net cashflow also absorbed several one-time items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \u20ac100\u2013200 million related to the strategic realignment<\/li>
- \u20ac250 million for further pension obligation financing<\/li>
- \u20ac200 million in charges from US tariffs<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
In August, Porsche also agreed to sell its wholly owned subsidiary MHP to Tata Consultancy Services, with closing expected within 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Porsche’s strategy, called Sportwagenschmiede ’35, centers on the core business, a competitive cost structure, and new, emotionally engaging products. The Mission S vision model shows where the brand is heading. CEO Dr. Michael Leiters said: “We are implementing our strategic realignment consistently and at a rapid pace.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Jochen Breckner, Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT, added: “Even in a challenging market environment, Porsche is showing itself to be financially robust.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
