The 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera T is the only way to buy a base-engine 911 with a manual transmission. Porsche does not offer a manual transmission on the standard Carrera or the Carrera S. The T is the sole option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the Manual Transmission Actually Is<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Carrera T uses a 6-speed manual transmission. It is not the previous 7-speed manual with one gear removed. According to Porsche and Motor1, the gearbox uses the first six ratios of the seven-speed manual but incorporates the shifter linkage mechanism from the 911 GT3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
